Glow Up Circle: A Focus on Self-Love
Glow Up Circle is a virtual therapeutic group for young female-identifying individuals ages 18 to 35 who are navigating childhood trauma and its impact on adult relationships, identity, and self-worth.
The group is LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming and led by Marissa Hall, LCSWA (she/her), a trauma therapist and EMDR practitioner with lived experience as a childhood trauma survivor.
This round of the group will specifically support young adult women with complicated, painful, or emotionally confusing relationships with their families of origin. Together, we will explore themes such as:
Emotional neglect and unmet attachment needs
Parentification and over-responsibility
Boundary-setting and differentiation
Grief, anger, and mixed feelings toward caregivers
Identity development and rebuilding a sense of self
Cultivating self-love, self-trust, and compassion
Group content will be informed by Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents and grounded in trauma-informed, relational, and skills-based approaches. The group emphasizes validation, psychoeducation, and healing in community, with space to gently practice new ways of relating to self and others.
